It's hard to believe that Jay-Z and Kanye West's super hit, 'N----s in Paris,' was never a scorcher, but rapper Pusha T passed on the beat because he didn't think it was hot.

In an interview with Ask Men, King Push opened up about how sometimes Kanye's beats aren't all they're cracked up to be. "Yeah. He sent me some stuff that I don’t always feel. It happens," Push revealed. "Then he’ll go out of his way to prove you wrong. And he does sometimes… 'N----s in Paris.'"

The rapper's manager, Steven Victor chimed in, "Pusha said, 'It sounds like a video game. Get that s--- out of here!' But 'Ye agreed."

Hindsight is 20/20 and Pusha T realizes now that he should have used some creative imagination when hearing the rough cut. "You have to have that imagination sometime, and that’s something I’m learning," the Clipse member explained. "I’m so ready to rap and stuff that imagination don’t be kicking in."

'N----s in Paris' went on to become a breakout hit for The Throne and snagged the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song awards at this year's Grammys.
