Pusha T’s alignment with G.O.O.D. Music has breathed a breath of fresh air back into the former Clipse member’s career. He spoke with Atlanta’s DJ Drama about how the success of 2 Chainz is motivating him.

“Straight up. To even watch what he was doing and to watch how he just took a hold of the game. A lot of his music was just about hustle. He had records, he had 3 or 4 records in the club at any given point in time in 2012.” He continued, “I took that motivation, and I really appreciate him for that.”

When it comes to beef, Pusha’s been exchanging words with Lil Wayne as of late. He put the situation in perspective during the same interview. Although he’s not a fan of Weezy’s latest efforts, he enjoyed some of his past work.

The beef isn’t a G.O.O.D. Music vs. Young Money thing as he gave props to Drake during the interview.

“I don’t like Wayne music. Right now, it’s not good and you’re talking about somebody who got Carter 2, 3. I got mixtapes. I’m not into the new stuff. Drake be rhyming. He busting. He be getting busy.”
