Allyson Felix’s 2012 Olympic dream started off as a nightmare. At the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Oregon, she was originally ruled to be the 4th place finisher in the 100-meter race. The ruling was changed shortly after the race.

There was a massive debate sparked by the ruling. The 2 runners in question – Felix and her training partner, Jeneba Tarmoh, were scheduled to participate in a runoff. Tarmoh decided to relinquish the opportunity.

Felix will participate in the 100-meter, 200-meter (where she is a favorite to medal), and most likely both relay races.

We’re all looking forward to seeing that beautiful smile later this summer.
