A day after TMZ reported that Michael Jackson could have an illegitimate son, it turns out it was a hoax. The gossip website is now reporting that a DNA test by Brandon Howard, which allegedly proved that MJ is his father, is actually fake.

At a press conference announcing the test results, FilmOn.com owner Alki David claims there’s a biological match between Howard and Jackson. The King of Pop’s dental records from a Beverly Hills physician was acquired by David at an auction. He then produced the results showing a 99.99 percent probability that Howard is the son of MJ.

TMZ was able to examined the document and discovered that it was bogus. Apparently, the DNA testing lab’s logo is an exact replica of the image used in the sci-fi action flick 'Terminator Salvation.' Upon further research, the logo appears on a promotional T-shirt for the movie as well.

Brandon Howard, whose mother is veteran '80s singer Miki Howard, issued a press release denying reports that he agreed to a DNA test or talked with TMZ about the story.

"To my fans, family, and friends, despite recent allegations, I did not authorize the testing of my DNA to be compared to that of the late Michael Jackson nor did I contact TMZ regarding the publication of the story," he states.

Alki David had no comment on the matter.
