Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill teams up with some of his billionaire friends like Michael Rubin to give back for the holidays. Since his release from prison, Meek Mill been the Hip-Hop poster child of prison reform, taking a stand against the injustice in the justice system that he is all to familiar with. On saturday Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, Brooklyn Nets co-owner Clara Wu Tsai, Nets player Caris LeVert and DJ Khaled got a few kids from Philly together to take them on a shopping spree at the New York City NBA store. Reported from TMZ, the shopping spree event was put together by REFORM Alliance. The REFORM Alliance is the criminal justice org including Meek, Jayz and a few others created to get people out from behind bars when they don't belong, wrongly imprisoned for a probation and parole violation, past or present. Each family were chosen for the shopping spree has been affected by mass incarceration in the United States. $500.00 was given to each child and their familiar to spend on whatever they wanted inside the store. 6abc reports, after the shopping spree the families flew in-0style on the New England Patriots team plane. Owner Robert Kraft, who is also involved in the REFORM Alliance, invited the kids to the Patriots game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Where they got a chance to meet Tom Brady and watch him take on the Bills front row!
