Mariah Carey has something for everyone with her latest single, ‘Triumphant (Get ‘Em).’ While the original track, which features Meek Mill and Rick Ross, received mixed reviews from longtime lambs (her affectionate term for her fans), her two new versions, the ‘Pulse Club Mix’ and ‘Vintage Throwback Mix,’ may win them over.

Fans’ main complaint about ‘Triumphant (Get ‘Em)’ was the utter absence of Carey’s legendary vocals on the track, with the woman who should have been the star of the show ultimately relegating herself to hook girl status. Many argued that instead of showcasing Carey’s much-missed voice, the track would have been more at home on ‘The Emancipation of Meek Mill’ instead of Mimi. However, Carey takes center stage on her two mixes, with extended verses and more choruses treating the listener to her infamous octaves.

Carey’s ‘Vintage Throwback Mix’ opens with a piano intro before launching into a “Get ‘em, get ‘em, get ‘em / Hit ‘em, hit ‘em, hit ‘em” refrain and a midtempo, 90′s-style beat. The gospel-style “Make ‘em all fall down,” soulful adlibs and inspirational message combine to be pretty reminiscent of Carey’s early hit ‘Make It Happen.’ Though you can hear a bit of Jermaine Dupri in the background of the vintage mix, this one is all Mariah.

Mimi’s ‘Pulse Club Mix’ may polarize fans, but likely not as much as the original ‘Triumphant.’ The vocals are the same as the vintage mix, but set to a pulsating club beat designed to inspire listeners not just to triumph, but also to dance.
