Two upstarts have found themselves in a beef – Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. It all stems from Kendrick’s “Control” verse where he spit about Mill and a slew of other rappers and celebrities. The two are polar opposites, which makes this rivalry pretty entertaining to me. Kendrick is known as mainly a lyricist and “Backpack” rapper while Meek reps the streets. Kendrick went after Mill yet again at a performance in Brooklyn.

“But there’s one. There’s one that need to know there’s really levels to this sh-t.” “Levels” is Meek’s current single.

Meek dropped a diss record aimed squarely at Kendrick earlier this month. On “Ooh Kill Em,” the Philly rapper says, “You do it for the n---as with the backpack / I do it for the n---as on the corner tryin to make a meal ticket with a crack pack / Hold up, wait a minute, let me back track / Hov gave you 24, let you have that / Man you claiming you the King of New York / What the f—k wrong with you n---a, snap back / Hundred shots, aimin’ straight at your snap cap / Everybody want the crown til I snatch that.”

I’m sure this rivalry is FAR from over. Your move, Meek!
