Producer Just Blaze is taking his career to a new level by embracing electronic music in all its glory. He'll be releasing a project centered around the genre later this year and now he delivers some of his masterful work on the Jay-Z-sampled track 'Higher.'

Blaze teams up with trap music producer Baauer -- he's one of the buzz-worthy artists to watch in 2013 -- for the effort, which is saturated with lines from Hov's 'U Don't Know.' The song was produced by Blaze in 2001, and is featured on the rapper's 'The Blueprint' album. Baauer's hard-hitting drums are paired with Just Blaze's synths on 'Higher.'

Bouncing along to the beat here is inevitable. It's the kind of record that'll make a hip-hop enthusiast and avid house music hater change their tune after recognizing the Brooklyn emcee name-dropping the duo as the track commences.

The forthcoming EDM project from Just Blaze will be released via Fool's Gold Records. The producer previously released 'Behold (Exhibit J),' a groovy, soulful house tune, that serves as the lead single off the effort.

Blaze and Baaeur are set to demonstrate their production skills on a 16-city performance trek called the Big League tour, which begins Jan. 24 in Urbana, Ill., and wraps up on Feb. 16 in Minneapolis. Cities like New York, Boston, Detroit and Toronto are included.
