Reuters reports that a judge dismissed a 2012 lawsuit which named Jay Z and Dame Dash, Kareem "Biggs" Burke, Roc-A-Fella, Island Def Jam and UMG for committing breach of contract and copyright infringement.

The suit was filed by New York clothing designer Dwayne Walker, who was suing for $7 million. Walker claimed that he made the Roc-A-Fella logo in 1995 and is owed royalties, however, Jay and Dash say that label in-house art director Adrien Vargas is responsible for the logo's creation. Walker claimed that he had a contract, but he was unable to provide a physical copy, which ultimately led a judge to dismiss the case.

"This leaves only plaintiff's own self-serving testimony that he drafted the contract, that he and Dash signed it, and that he lost track of it in 1998. This testimony alone is not enough," U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter wrote.

Though the US District Court judge dismissed the lawsuit yesterday, Walker is reportedly planning to appeal.

In other news, Jay Z is busy as usual, with his hands in both music and television. He and Will Smith are producing and upcoming HBO mini-series on Emmett Till, and he's also prepping for the TIDAL X: 1015 Benefit Concert which will feature Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Alicia Keys as headliners. Dame is also dipping into television, and is planning a series based on what went on behind-the-scenes of Roc-A-Fella Records.
