For years, we have gotten to enjoy it during the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course. More recently, we have savored Shake Shake's awesome burgers while traveling to the New York Thruway.

But we have never had easy access to satisfy a Shake Shack craving on a whim, but that will thankfully change in the months ahead.

Stuyvesant Plaza Announces Arrival Of New Shake Shack Restaurant

Stuyvesant Plaza, one of the Capital Region's premier shopping and dining destinations, announced in a press release today it will officially welcome Shake Shack's first  "year-round, full-scale Capital Region location." The new location will be at the corner building by the plaza's Western Avenue entrance, formerly occupied by TGI Friday's.

Yes, the old TGI Fridays may seem larger than your typical Shake Shack - but they will need that space because they are going to be BUSY! As an extremely passionate burger enthusiast, I can personally say this is huge! Local Shake Shack aficionados have been eagerly anticipating this news for years, and demand will be high. As far as burger chains go, or any burger joint, Shake Shack's burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and everything on its menu are top-flight.

Plaza representatives say the new burger joint will open in late 2025 or early 2026.
