Major Road Closures Coming To The Capital Region
Listen, I take no pleasure in reporting on the roads in New York. It seems that every week there's something else either closing roads or just destroying them.

Unfortunately, this one's the former. We have some road closures coming up in the Capital Region, so here's everything you need to know...

Closure on Wednesday
The first closure will take place on Wednesday, April 22nd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. County Route 90 from Sugarhill Road to Vischer Ferry Road will be closed during this period. The closure is to replace an aging culvert, a tunnel-like structure that allows water to pass under roads.
This is vital to maintain structural integrity of the road, as well as avoiding flooding in the area. Once the replacement culvert is secured and the road is safe to be travelled on again, the roads will reopen. This could be done earlier than the announced time, so make sure to stay up to date while on the road.
Closure on Thursday
Immediately following the work on County Route 90, work will begin on County Road 91. Closures will take place from Grooms road to Droms Road from, once again, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A Map Showing the Road Closures
The reason for the closure is the exact same as before, an aging culvert needs to be replaced. Once these projects are officially completed, County Routes 90 and 91 will be back open and available 24/7 for the foreseeable future.
Remember, stay focused on the road at all times, take detours if necessary, and ensure you're staying safe on all roads across the Capital Region. You know how hairy they can get.
