Owner Uncertain If Popular Saratoga County BBQ Spot Will Reopen
Owner Unsure if They're Reopening This Year
PJ's BAR-B-QSA, a popular seasonal BBQ spot in Saratoga County, has been closed for months, and most just assumed they'd reopen in the Spring like it has for the past decade.
However, local foodies and Capital Region barbecue fans have speculated that it might not reopen after all, after a Google search suggested it was closed permanently.
Many restaurants and bars throughout New York State continue to face challenges, including rising costs, ending leases, and difficulty returning to pre-pandemic sales levels. Keeping the business afloat has been more challenging than ever.

What's Going On at PJ's in Saratoga?
A contributor to 518 Foodies, a Facebook group where Capital Region people share their experiences from local restaurants, asked this question a few days ago after seeing that a Google search for PJ's BAR-B-QSA showed they were "permanently closed."
A Google search now shows they are "temporarily closed," but that didn't stop foodies from wondering what's up.
Owner Responds to Rumors
Many of the comments on the Facebook group were from residents bummed by talk around town that they may not be reopening, while others who claimed to be in the know said that the closure was "permanent."
After seeing the speculation on the Foodies group, we reached out for comment, and Carolyn Davis, co-owner of PJ's, told us that they haven't decided yet on their future, but stay tuned.
"We are in the midst of making decisions about the future of PJ's BAR-B-QSA," she explained, adding that they "expect to have some more clarity on the business's future in the coming weeks."
And like many in the Capital Region, nothing would make us happier than seeing them fire up the charcoal pits again this year.
