Massage Parlor Owner In Rotterdam Pleads Guilty To Prostitution Charges
There's an old saying that Prostitution is the world's oldest profession. Now, that statement isn't true, but it does hold a certain amount of weight to it.
It's a profession that, while highly illegal, can be found just about everywhere, you just have to know where to look. Unfortunately for one Capital Region woman, the people looking were federal prosecutors.

The Business
This all starts with a woman named Qingquin Xie, nicknamed "Coco". She lived in Rotterdam, and had been operating several massage parlors across the Capital Region which acted as fronts for a prostitution ring ran by Xie.
These parlors were advertised online on a website that customers use to find sexual services. When trying to book an appointment, the number given would call Xie directly, and customers had to book through her. This plan worked like a charm, apparently, as these businesses ran with no issues from mid-2023 until late-2024.
The Arrest and Following Prosecution
In October of 2024, investigators became aware of the businesses, and conducted a raid on one of Xie's parlors in East Greenbush. At the time, she was monitoring the raid from an app on her phone, and realized she needed to get out. She went to a bank, withdrew $17,000, and fled to New York City.
She returned in January, opening a new parlor, and then another one in April. Unfortunately for her, these were much shorter lived. She was officially arrested on August 20th, 2025 and plead guilty on November 18th. She will face her sentence on March 18th, and is likely going to receive 10 to 16 months in prison, as well as having to forfeit all her business earnings.
