Tragic Loss of a Young Life

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and community mourning a great young man, born in Upstate New York, who tragically lost his life last week in a UTV accident.

According to sources, Phillip Gleisner, 23, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 19th, from the result of a UTV accident.

Active in the Community

Born on June 4, 2001, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY, Gleisner had been living in Philadelphia and was immensely active in the community.

According to his obituary, upon graduating high school with honors in 2019, Gleisner worked on his family's farm, was the Assistant superintendent serving the Village of Philadelphia, and even served as a fire council member of the Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department, where he received the Fireman of the Year award in 2020 and 2021.

Scott Gray, a member of the New York State Assembly, wrote:

"My thoughts with the family and greater Philadelphia community on the passing of an exceptional young man who touched so many lives in the community. His service as a dedicated village employee to his impactful involvement in the FFA community and the Philadelphia Fire Department, speaks volumes about his character."
