
Teenager Crashes Car Into Oneonta Home On Easter Sunday
A New York teenager lost control of the vehicle he was driving and struck a home in Central New York. When we say he struck a home, he didn't just graze the exterior, the front passenger side made its way into the house. Take a look at the pictures below.

Imagine you are home celebrating a quiet Easter Sunday, the eggs have been found, the meals have been served and you are about to relax for the evening. No other guests are expected, so why not chill for a while? Then, all of a sudden, there is more than a knock at the door. A car literally crashing through your bay window and is in your home.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at approximately 4:59 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta responded to a report of a car into a house in the town of Oneonta.
New York State Troopers conducted an investigation at the scene and revealed that a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling west at an unsafe speed while on State Highway 23 in the town of Oneonta when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a house.

The 18-year-old male operator from Schenevus was transported to A.O. Fox Hospital to be treated. It appears that impairment was not a factor in the crash. Two residents inside the home at the time of the crash were not injured.
Talk about the things in life that you assume will never happen to you. I can tell you with great certainty, I would never think there was a chance of a car ending up in my living room, but you just never know. Happy to learn nobody was seriously injured.
