Former New York Yankee Mark Teixeira hopes to 'knock it out of the park' in a run for Congress!

Former Major League Baseball player Mark Teixeira wore the pinstripes for the New York Yankees from 2009 until 2016. During his professional baseball career, Teixeira was a 3-time All Star, 5-time Gold Glove winner, recipient of the Silver Slugger award and helped the Bronx Bombers win the 2009 World Series Championship. Now  Teixeira hopes to 'steal' a seat in Congress.

On Thursday August 28th Mark Teixeira took to social media to announce a run for Congress in his home state of Texas.
