New York State Police have not given up on their 3-decade long investigation regarding the mysterious death of a woman in the Capital Region. 37 years later, almost to the date, Troopers are seeking the public's help.
What brought Texas resident Terri Roark to New York State? How did her body end up lifeless, laying on the northbound lanes of the Twin Bridges over the Mohawk River? How did her possessions end up 11 miles away from her? Who killed Terri Kay Roark?

On Tuesday March 29, 1988, according to a post on the New York State Troopers Facebook page, the body of 31-year-old Terri Roark was discovered on the northbound lanes of the Twin Bridges in Clifton Park, NY. Authorities believe Roark had been shoved out of a vehicle and died from a fractured skull.
Later that same day a concerned citizen located a duffle bag on the center median of the Northway, near Exit 11 in Malta, NY. The bag was said to contain some of Terri Roark's personal items.
The body of Terri Roark was not positively identified until July of 1988 when her fingerprints matched those found at her parents home in Texas. Roark was last seen alive exiting a mental health facility in Oklahoma.
Investigators of State Police Saratoga and Troop G Major Crimes continue to investigate the circumstances around Terri’s homicide. If anyone has any information related to this death, please call 518-457-6811 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
