The more time that Odell Beckham Jr. spends away from a football field, the worse-off he becomes in the public eye.

Back in February 2021, Odell Beckham Jr. was in the midst of a career resurgence. He was an important contributor with the Los Angeles Rams down the stretch, as the franchise would go on to win a Super Bowl. Before tearing his ACL in the season's final game against Cincinnati, it appeared as though we were seeing the beginning of the "next wave" of Beckham's career.

Since that time, however, OBJ has been in the news on a few occasions, but not for good reasons. Earlier today, leaked video footage showed Beckham in an extremely negative light while creating a commotion on an airplane, proving that sometimes, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Leaked BodyCam Footage Show OBJ's Embarrassing Behavior in Plane Incident

Video footage began to circulate around Twitter and other social media channels on Thursday, January 12th, showing Odell Beckham Jr. and the disturbance he created aboard a plane back on November 27, 2022.

In the video, which was taken via the BodyCam of an officer who was responding to the situation, Beckham is shown being extremely difficult from start to finish. The situation became so tense, that other passengers were forced to de-plane before OBJ could be dealt with.

Here is the video:

Here is another angle of the disturbance:

The tweet thread also included these videos:

Let's all be honest with one another: Odell Beckham Jr. is acting like a jerk here. He's being conceited and arrogant, and would rather delay a flight for multiple hours, than comply with someone who is asking him to do something he doesn't want to do.

Now, here's my question: if you're an NFL team, and you see this video, are you rushing to sign this player to your team?

I would never wish for a person to lose their job or their livelihood. That being said, OBJ has made $82,896,476 in his career, so I think he may be set for a while. If I'm a fan of an NFL team, and I have the choice between signing Beckham, and signing another wide receiver, I'm probably rooting for the other guy to sign with my team.

As an athlete, OBJ has now dealt with multiple ACL tears in his career. He's played a full season (16 games) just twice in his career, and by the time training camp breaks in September, it will have been more than two calendar years since he played a single snap in a football game.

Couple all of that physical baggage with actions like these, and when it comes to signing OBJ for the 2023 season, I'm all set. If my team is in the process of building a winning culture on the field, and in the locker room, I don't want him spoiling that.

Will he get a contract? Probably. Should he get a contract? I'm not so sure.

Will the contract he signs end in disaster? There's certainly a chance.
