The Buffalo Bills are now preparing for the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. It's a Saturday night game that will air on Peacock, but thankfully for those in Western New York, will be shown locally.

The Bills are 9th in the AFC with an 8-6 record but have been playing great since Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator, when head coach Sean McDermott fired Ken Dorsey.

The Bills dismantled the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday, with a near perfect performance on both offense and defense. The Bills just win the next two weeks to keep decent playoff odds, and on Tuesday they got great news for an important player coming back to the practice field.

McDermott announced that defensive tackle DaQuan Jones is back at practice, with his 21-day window has opened. That means the Bills have until January 9th to activate him to the 53-man roster.

McDermott added that this Saturday's game is unlikely to see Jones return, but assuming goes well here, we could likely see Jones return either week 17 vs. the New England Patriots or week 18 at the Miami Dolphins.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips underwent wrist surgery this week, so Jones back is hugely important to help the defensive line. However, their game against the Chargers will feature no Jones or Phillips. That means Ed Oliver with team up with Linval Joseph, Tim Settle and Poona Ford.

The news was less good for linebacker Matt Milano. McDermott said it "doesn't look good" for Milano returning this season. He was hurt on the same play as Jones, in week 5 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

The Bills need Jones back. Him and Oliver have been tremendous on the interior of the defensive line and should help against the Dolphins and if they get into the postseason.
