It’s been a solid couple of weeks for album sales. Taylor Swift set the world on fire with the release of Red, which sold over 1 million copies in it’s first week. Kendrick Lamar proved hip hop fans still show support, selling over 200,000 copies of his debut project. Meek Mill is the most recent success story.

The MMG rapper’s album, Dreams & Nightmares, finished the week at #2 on the charts. Meek’s debut performance was nearly identical to his label-mate, Wale’s effort last year. Their first week sales were within 1,000 copies of each other and both landed in the same chart position. The album features Nas, Drake, Jeremih and his Maybach brethren.
