Harlem Reacts To The Harlem Shake [VIDEO]

I admit, much like everyone else, I was extremely entertained by the Harlem Shake videos when they first started circulating the web. Now, they’re down right annoying. There’s one particular area in the United States that doesn’t find the vids to be humorous at all – Harlem, NY.

We all remember the original Harlem Shake from the early 2000’s when G. Dep made it popular in his video for the single, “Let’s Get It.” Apparently the dance move has a bit more history. It originally started in 1981 when it was called “The Albee.” The man who started the crazy, Al B, described the original shake as “a drunken shake anyway, it’s an alcoholic shake, but it’s fantastic, everybody appreciates it.”

The NEW Harlem Shake song is by a DJ named Baauer.
