February marks a big month for Drake, who will be acting as a de facto host at next week's NBA All Star Weekend is up for a number of Grammys at this year's ceremony. During Sunday night's Super Bowl though, an advertisement for the Grammys suggested that Drake would be performing, listing the rapper's name alongside other confirmed performers, something that Drake himself had to shoot down.

"I am not performing at the Grammy Awards..." Drake tweeted out Sunday evening (Feb. 7), "but hey it's the thought that counts." The Grammys will air on Feb. 15, a day after NBA All Star Weekend wraps up. Taking place in his hometown of Toronto, Drake has been tapped for a number of events including a ping-pong match with Reggie Miller and coaching duties in the Celebrity All Star game. Though Drake is up for four Grammy Awards, none are in the top multi-genre categories, and a Grammy performance would likely spread the rapper's weekend efforts too thin.

Kendrick Lamar however will be performing at the Grammys this year and has said of his 11 nominations, "I want to win them all." Lamar is up for Album of the Year for To Pimp a Butterfly and Song of the Year for "Alright." Drake and Kendrick face off in the Best Rap Album category, with Drake's If You're Reading This it's Too Late heading up against Butterfly, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, The Pinkprint and Compton. The Grammys will air on Feb. 15 with host LL Cool J. Check out Drake's tweet below.
