Dak Prescott Says “It’s Not The Time To Protest During The National Anthem”
Today's Donkey of The Day For July 30th goes to The Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott who said "It's Not The Time To Protest During The National Anthem".
This is one of the hardest Donkey of The Days for Uncle Charla to give out as we all know how deep his love for the Dallas Cowboys goes but it had to be done. As there is a new rule in place for the NFL that players who kneel for the national anthem will get fined.
In a recent Interview that has since set the internet on fire Dak said this
“I never protest during the anthem, and I don’t think that’s the time or the venue to do so. The game of football has always brought me such peace, and I think it does the same for a lot of people, a lot of people playing the game, a lot of people watching the game, a lot of people who have any impact of the game. so when you bring such controversy to the stadium, to the field, to the game it takes away. It takes away from that, it takes away from the joy and the love that football brings a lot of people."
