Skiers the wait is over! A popular Capital Region ski destination is opening for the season this weekend. It's the earliest opening in over fifty years. For the first time in sixty four years, Mount Snow will be opening for the ski season this Saturday, October 27th. According to an article on Transworld Snowboarding, Mount Snow said that with the combination of the colder temperatures and their thirty million dollar investment into their new snow-making system, they are able to open this Saturday.

Skiing and riding with lifts at Mount Snow will be open from 8am to 3:30pm this Saturday. If the temperatures are cold enough, there will be trails added throughout the weekend. You can check all of the trails, terrain and conditions here. Mount Snow will be open for weekends only to start and then they will announce a date in the future as to when they will be open for full weeks.

If you want to take advantage of the early opening, you are urged to visit mountsnow.com/passes to get your Peak Passes ahead of opening day. You can visit The Clocktower at Mount Snow from 8am until 4:30pm, weekdays and 7:30am until 4pm on the weekends. You can also get the best ticket deals at mountsnow.com/tickets.
