In recent months, UK DJ Tim Westwood has been cleaning out his seemingly endless archives by letting exclusive freestyles out of the bag. Westwood has already graced the internet with freestyles from Jay Z, Fabolous and Ol Dirty Bastard and last week shared a clip of Method Man and Redman trading bars back in '99.

Today (March 10), keeping the Throwback Thursday trend alive, Westwood released a rare freestyle of Cam'ron rapping back in 1998. In the 3-plus minute clip, Cam flexes the same lyrical skills and out the bag references that we know him for today, rapping over the “Incarcerated Scarfaces” beat with lines like, "Guns, we play the laser gam/Raise the aim, read you stupid niggas like I’m Frasier Crane/I suggest you stay the same."

Cam's legend has been a topic of discussion lately with Karen Civil telling a story on the Tax Season podcast about a time in which Cam's refusal to move from a parking spot led to Jay Z kicking him off Def Jam. Cam later took to Instagram to refute Civil's story, saying that he and Jay have been cool and that he left Def Jam voluntarily. He went on to accuse Civil of being a thief and a liar. Civil never responded.

Listen to the rare Cam freestyle up top and peep what the Harlemite has been up too recently with his "Giles Investigations" look into the life of a crackhead. Whether from back in the day or today, on the mic or in front of the camera, Cam will always be a magnetic figure.
