Brandy will be making her Broadway debut in the hit musical Chicago next month.

The R&B singer and actress will take on the role of Roxie Hart, which has previously been portrayed by Jennifer Nettles of the country duo Sugarland. Brandy's run in the Broadway musical will start on April 28 and will continue for eight weeks until June 21, where she will take her final bow on the New York City stage.

This isn't the first time Brandy has combined her acting and singing talents. While starring in Moesha, there were a few episodes in which she sang. However, she really showed her musical theater chops when she starred alongside the late Whitney Houston in the 1997 made-for-TV remake of Cinderella -- Brandy became Disney's first ever black princess.

Aside from her singing career, the songstress has been focusing on her role as Chardonnay Pitts in The Game on BET. In 2014, she won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
