Beanie Sigel Sentenced To Additional Jail Time

One of the biggest hip hop artists to come out of Philly will be spending more time in the klink than originally anticipated. Beanie Sigel was wacked with a drug arrest last year. Now, an additional 6 to 23 months have been tacked on to his sentence.

The drug arrest came in August of 2012. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance. The former R-O-C repper is already serving a sentence for tax evasion. He was sentenced to two years for failing to pay over $728,000 in taxes back in ’99.

The substances he was in possession of include codeine, marijuana and other prescription pills. The flashing lights caught up with the rapper when the car he was riding in was seen swerving lanes and tailgating other vehicles.

Things could be worse for Sigel. In the initial search, the po-po’s also found a loaded heater in the vehicle. The gun charges were dropped against Beanie, instead being put on the driver of the car.
