Basketball Wives Producers To Sue Jennifer Williams

According to the CP Looks like the beef on Basketball Wives just got real show producers are set to sue Jennifer Williams for a breach of contract.  If you haven’t been paying attention Jennifer is suing Evelyn Lozada’s assistant Nia Crooks for slapping her in the face during a get together at a race track.

It appears that the cast and crew have decided to gang up on Jennifer because they are saying that her recent media blitz (radio and TV interviews) saying that the show is producing negative images of black women.   Jennifer’s bashing of the show is in breach of contract because their contract states cast members cannot participate in any interviews or media appearances without consent from the show.  The cast’s agreement also states the cast is forbidden to speak negatively of the reality show.  The producers feel she is ruining the brand.

At the end of the day Jennifer knew what she was signing up for.  Now that she has gotten the full reality TV experience she is trying to back out, and say it is all set up by the producers.  No suit has been filed yet but it is in the near future.  In my opinion it’s not the show portraying African-American women negatively, it’s the African-American women portraying themselves negatively.
