Averill Park Woman Accused Of Accident While Driving Drunk With 2 Year Old In The Car

In today's Blank Stare News Erika Sten, 43,Sten is accused of driving drunk with her 2 year old daughter in the car. The police say she driving westbound on 43 when she veered off the right shoulder of the road, glanced off a power pole, and came to a rest on the front lawn of a nearby residence.

Sten was arrested on the scene and charged. with DWI, Aggravated DWI involving a child under 16 and endangering the welfare of a child.

They should also add not taking consideration for her daughter or anyone else, to the list of charges. She will be charged with a felony under the New York State Leandra's Law which made it an automatic felony on the first offense to drive drunk with a person age 15 or younger inside the vehicle, and setting the blood alcohol content, or BAC, at 0.08 Luckily she was not injured and neither was her daughter.
