Most DJs can play songs, but it takes a special one to tell a story with the records. That's where DJ Big Rob excels, using his collection of R&B, hip-hop, house, dancehall and top 40 to engage a crowd in an experience they will not forget. When DJ Big Rob is in the building, you know you're in for "The Big Show". Born and raised in Buffalo, DJ Big Rob realized the world could be his stage. That ambition led him to rocking crowds from Toronto to Washington, D.C., leaving few places untouched. From local college parties, to celebrity birthday parties, to star-studded concert afterparties, DJ Big Rob infuses his spirited personality into each and every event. His skill on the turntables and prowess on the mic will take any event over the top, just as it did when DJ Big Rob opened for Waka Flocka Flame, Bobby Valentino, Joe Budden and Cali Swag District. DJ Big Rob also earned the 2012 'Artvoice' Award for "Best DJ Crew" as a member of the "Money Team". In 2013, Big Rob was crowned Buffalo's #1 Party Rocker after taking 1st place in the Red Bull ThreeStyleU DJ Competition in Buffalo. In addition to rocking the clubs, DJ Big Rob also excels in the mixtape market, After releasing several mixtapes that reached throughout New York, Canada and the Midwest, he is focused on breaking new music and being heard by the whole world. You can usually pick up one of his tapes from "The Fix" series while he's holding down the turntables at his Saturday night residency downtown or DJing a special event across the country. DJ Big Rob got his start in radio in 2011 while reaching the world through his mic for the "Jamz" division on worldwide internet station 1.FM. His mixshow "The Sunday Night Fix with DJ Big Rob" showcased the latest in hip-hop and dancehall music, as well as his skills on the mic. During this time, Big Rob would guest mix on WBLK during several different shows. In 2012, the DJ decided to take his radio experience to another level and entered WBLK's On-Air Talent Showdown. Since being named one of the station's newest personalities, he has earned his own weekly show as host of "The Big Show with DJ Big Rob" and mans the turntables during "The Big Show Mixshow".
