R&B singer August Alsina has been earning his bad boy reputation in the past few weeks. If he's not barking at a BET '106 & Park' host, he's having disagreements with concert promoters. His latest stunt involves a noose on a music video set.

The 'Testimony' singer shocked his fans when he posted a photo of what appears to be him (or a dummy) hanging from a noose. 'Rest in peace Aug. Forever missed #holdyoudownfor life," reads the caption.

The disturbing photo was up for several hours before it was taken down after fans got upset over the graphic image. But, of course, nothing ever disappears once it hits the Internet. You can see the photo below.

According to BET, the photo was taken on the set of his new music video for 'FML' featuring Pusha T -- the track in which he sings about having suicidal thoughts.

One user thought the picture was distasteful and urged the crooner to explain himself.

"What's wrong with dude? That's not funny...August Alsina posted this on IG last night with the caption "rest in peace forever," he wrote. "Apparently it's for his new video with Pusha T called "FML" but I think he probably should have made that more clear in his post since I'm sure he very well has a lot of young impressionable fans. Not a good look sir."

So far, Alsina has yet to address the controversial photo.

In the meantime, you can watch Alsina sing a freestyle for XXL Magazine's 2014 Freshman profile.
