A$AP Rocky is tapping into a new music streak, unveiling a slew of new records for fans to tide them over. The Harlem rapper unveils a brand new track called "Above," which is produced by Frans Mernick.

The new record from Rocky features the A$AP Mob member delivering a new style of music in comparison to his signature sound, as he sings in Auto-Tune over the mellow instrumental. Lacing the somber, slow-grooving track with some harmonic vocals, the hitmaker croons about keeping a girl all to himself, and claiming himself as the best that she'll ever have.

"I think my mind slowly losin' focus/Lately I've been through the motions," he sings. "I'm on another level this time/Levels in my bezel, rich time/They ain't on my level this time/Think it's time we settle this right now."

The singing style comes after Rocky previously revealed back in October 2017 that he would be testing out new sounds for his upcoming album. His latest record certainly seems to reflect that. There's no word on when we can expect his forthcoming LP, but hopefully Rocky will give us an official update soon.

"Above" follows in the footsteps of Rocky's new "Five Stars" record with D.R.A.M. that he dropped earlier this week (Jan. 23).
