The Red Bull Academy will stop by New York City for a month-long spate of events. The two bigger highlights are FKA twigs' performances on May 17 and 18 at the Brooklyn Hangar and A$AP Rocky's talk with Chairman Mao for the latest Red Bull Academy Lecture. "A Conversation With A$AP Rocky" will take place on May 7 at a venue that will be announced shortly before the event.

FKA twigs released one of 2014's best albums, LP1, and has since kept busy by touring and creating new material. She's been working with producer Boots on a new project slated for a 2015 release.

The upcoming dialogue puts A$AP Rocky in esteemed company. "A Conversation With..." has featured the likes of Questlove and Q-Tip, and even has featured some notoriously press-averse figures.  Last year, D'Angelo sat with author Nelson George for a conversation before his Black Messiah album dropped. George Clinton, the famed frontman of Parliament-Funkadelic, will also be featured in a lecture; his will take place May 12 at the Brooklyn Museum.

This Red Bull series produces insightful conversations and it's very possible A$AP Rocky's talk will be no different. Also a fashion trendsetter, the A$AP Mob leader is known for mixing regional hallmarks for his trademark sound.

This year is looking like it's going to be a busy year for Rocky. He dropped a few singles in late 2014, and is expected to drop an album before 2015 comes to a close. The project is another anticipated release in a year packed with many stellar albums.
