In one of the most anticipated releases of 2017, adidas Originals has teamed up with renowned American artist Daniel Arsham to create a collaborative silhouette, channeling the NY-based artist’s aesthetic into a footwear style.

Inspired by Arsham’s passion for the concept of archeology and 20th-century cultural artifacts, the collaborative shoe reimagines adidas’ archive running silhouette in a deteriorated canvas constructed with frayed edges and rendered in a completely tonal Chalk White colorway. The sneaker's design strips the New York silhouette to its rawest form; concealed elements take cues from Arsham’s ethos of discovery and hidden meaning. Featuring dual-branding on each shoe’s tongue, the shoes are countered with screen printed ‘Daniel Arsham’ and ‘Past’ written on the underside while the shoe’s classic mesh midsole gets an ultraviolet ink touch, completing the look of this highly anticipated release.

Releasing Fri., July 22, in limited quantities, the adidas Originals x Daniel Arsham will retail for a suggested price of $180. The collaborative sneaker will be sold at select adidas Originals boutiques and online at adidas.com.
