A few weeks ago, a collab record called “Water” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Kodak Black was leaked online before getting pulled. The official version, now called “Drowning” is here. You can listen to the song on iTunes or click here to listen to the new single on YouTube.

To some, it may not seem like the most obvious duo at first, but Kodak’s somewhat melancholy, forlorn style of music can be compared to A Boogie’s raps. Some believe that this song shows just how well the Atlantic Records artists can collaborate.

Although this may be the first collaborated song between the two artists to hit the public, chances are this isn’t the only cut they recorded together.  The two reportedly had hung out together for a while back in January.

Kodak has recently been facing more trouble, though, despite hit single “Tunnel Vision” landing in the top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 this week. A couple weeks ago, Kodak was arrested for violating his house arrest, but his lawyers say that his infractions were nothing more than work related. I guess they don’t like to see Kodak winning after all. Hopefully his legal issues get worked out soon.
