6ix9ine's legal troubles may be piling up on him, but his music career hasn't faltered. Yesterday (Dec. 2), Billboard released their latest chart data and confirmed that 6ix9ine's debut album Dummy Boy has reached the top five of the Billboard 200 chart. The 13-track project, which features collaborations from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and more, sits at the No. 2 spot behind Travis Scott's Astroworld, which returns to No. 1.

The album reached the top five three days after was released on Nov. 27. Dummy Boy was scheduled to drop on Thanksgiving (Nov. 23), however the release was postponed due to 6ix9ine's arrest. 6ix9ine, who was born Daniel Hernandez, was arrested by ATF and Homeland Security agents on Nov. 18 for racketeering and firearms charges along with his former manager and crew. Before his album dropped last week, 6ix9ine plead not guilty to all the charges. The trial for his racketeering charges will begin on Sept. 4, 2019.

News of 6ix9ine's strong Billboard 200 debut comes days after Rick Ross seemed to have dissed him in his new song with Meek Mill and Jay-Z "What's Free." In the song, Rozay seemingly calls out the rainbow-haired rapper for bringing attention to a gangster lifestyle he believes he wasn't ready to deal with.

"Screaming "gang gang," now you wanna rap/Racketeering charges caught him on a tap," Ross raps. "Lookin' for a bond, lawyers wanna tax/Purple hair got them faggots on your back."

Rozay doesn't mention Tekashi's name at all, but the fact that he brought up purple hair and racketeering charges in less than two weeks after the Brooklyn rapper was arrested for similar type of charges doesn't strike people as a simple coincidence.
