50 Cent to Host BET Late Night Variety Show ‘50 Central’
50 Cent's musical career might not be what it used to be, but the Queens mogul seems to have found a new calling in the realm of acting and producing for television and movies. Curtis recently landed a TV gig as host of the new BET late night variety show, 50 Central.
The network recently announced they've acquired 24 episodes of the half-hour series, which will feature skits, celebrity guests, musical performances and plenty of pranks.
The show will be produced by G-Unit Film & Television, in collaboration with Back Roads Entertainment, and executive produced by Fif, Stephen J. Savva, Colby Gaines and Riley Robbins. 50 revealed the news to fans on Instagram typing, "You are gonna love this 🎥 you know I get the 🚦green light. #IGETTHEBAG💰."
Fif has been making TV deals like it's going out of style. Just two weeks ago, it was announced he has his hands in two other shows. According to Hollywood Reporter, 50 is now set to produce two new TV shows for Sony’s Crackle streaming platform. He will be executive-producer on the crime drama-series, The Oath. The "I'm the Man" MC has also signed on to help produce RPN, which is described as “a high-octane drama set in the working-class streets of Boston’s most corrupt neighborhoods.”
Of course, season four of the hit Starz drama, Power is returning to television on June 25. Check out the new trailer here.
