Along with a public memorial on Friday (June 10) in Louisville, Ky., fans can remember Muhammad Ali in the theaters as Sony Pictures plans to re-release the sports legend’s biopic, Ali, in theaters this weekend.

Will Smith portrayed The Greatest in the Michael Mann-directed film, of which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. The movie also star Jamie Foxx as Drew Bundini Brown, Jon Voight as Howard Cosell and Mario Van Peebles as Malcolm X.

“With the passing of Muhammad Ali, we have received many requests for this film to return to theaters, in celebration of his life," said Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures (via Billboard). "The film truly honors everything that made Ali one of the central figures of our time, a man who commanded his sport but whose personal faith and principles made him mean so much more."

Ali, who passed away at the age of 74, will be honored at a public memorial on Friday (June 10). Smith will be among one of the pallbearers at the service in Louisville.

Ali will be in limited release; only a few hundred theaters nationwide will screen the movie. So check your local listings for theater availability and showtimes.
