The Super Bowl half time show will officially NOT suck this year. Beyonce will hit the stage at halftime of the big game at the Superdome in New Orleans on February 3rd. This is a refreshing improvement compared to an older, dusty version of the woman we once knew as Madonna last year.

The Madonna performance wasn’t terrible… but it was pretty close. Madonna teamed up with Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and M.I.A. last year. I think it’s only natural to speculate a guest appearance by hubby, Jay-Z this year. Could we also see her reunite with Destiny Child members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams? Fingers crossed!

Pop stars have been intentionally avoided by the program ever since the infamous Janet Jackson nip-slip back in 2004. The show returned to relevance in 2011 with performances by the Black Eyed Peas and Usher. Many called the Peas’ performance the worst in Super Bowl history. Can’t say that I disagree.
