Gina Gershon to play the iconic Donatella Versace in Lifetime's new biopic, "House of Versace."
The very sexy and talented Gershon will star in the premiere of the Lifetime Movie Network's "House of Versace" this Saturday night at 8 p.m. Following the film's debut will be an hour-long "Versace: Behind the Headlines" segment which details Gianni Versace's life and his creation of a multi-million dollar fashion line.
The film will detail how the Versace empire rose under the guidance of its founder, the late Gianni Versace, how it nearly crumbled after his murder in 1997, and how Donatella saved its destruction re-catapulting it to its former grandeur. Without his sister, Donatella, at the helm after his death, the Versace empire and name may've become extinct. The film also shows her struggle with a drug addiction which was not really publicized in the past.
Hip hop artists, rappers and celebrities have been obsessed with the Versace brand for decades. The biggest names in hip hop/rap music have revived the Versace brand bringing life back to a whole new generation of clientele as seen in the song by the new ATL rap group Migos called "Versace."
We all love Versace, Versace, Versace.
