If you've ever seen Adam Bhala Lough's The Carter documentary, there's a good chance you remember Lil Wayne reciting the first verse and the hook for his song "30 Minutes to New Orleans." Now, thanks to the folks at LilWayneHQ.com, we get to see him perform the other two verses, as well. Check out the video for yourself below.

In the newly surfaced footage, we can see Weezy in the zone, rapping along with his then-unreleased track as he moves about what appears to be a tour bus and sips out of a Styrofoam cup. You can also see he and his team watching ESPN—with the network using an old label. The Carter was originally released in January 2009, so most of the footage is probably from 2008.

"30 Minutes to New Orleans" proved to be one of the more anticipated songs of the year as soon as Weezy offered a preview in The Carter eight years ago, but ultimately fans would have to wait until the release of Mack Maine's The Laxative mixtape dropped in 2010 to hear the full thing.

It's great to see a clip of Weezy in his element, but fans still want to get their cyber hands on Tha Carter V, which, thanks in part to a legal dispute with his mentor Birdman, doesn't have a release date. Weezy, who recently aligned himself with JAY-Z's Roc Nation label, offered a bit of insight into his efforts to escape his contract with Birdman's Cash Money Records. At the time, he said Hov would help him out, but there was quite a ways to go.

“No, we haven’t done that yet. We still working on that, that’s a situation. But like I said, Jay’s just a good guy, he just wants to help me. So he’s just going to be helping me,” Weezy said at the time.

Check out this recently unearthed video of Weezy performing "30 Minutes to New Orleans" below, and hear the full CDQ of the song below that.
