Following in the footsteps of Skillz, Brooklyn rhymer Uncle Murda gives his recap of events in 2014 with his ‘Yearly Rap Up’ song. Now before you scream “biter,” Murda's recap is a little different than Skillz’s tune.

Over a melodic jazzy instrumental, East New York’s finest runs down all the events this year, including some newsworthy incidents that Skillz didn’t cover on his own song.

For example, Murda talks about Bobby Shmurda eventful year, including recent legal troubles.

“Free the whole GS9 / The law hates n----s' shine,” he raps.

Murda also addressed the civilian and police violence in the wake of the Mike Brown and Eric Garner grand jury non-indictments. He also talked about Slowbucks getting robbed at Summer Jam and was gleeful over Suge Knight getting shot in the club.

The BK also offered his condolences to Earl Hayes who killed his wife, Stephanie, in an apparent murder-suicide. The tragic incident shook up both the hip-hop and entertainment communities.

“This is the realest yearly rap up you ever heard / I’m just stating a few facts, some shit that I heard,” he raps.

True indeed.
