Uncle Murda Brings Real Hip-Hop Back in ‘New York City’ Video

Not many people rep New York the way Uncle Murda does, and he expresses his feelings on the rap scene right now with the visual for ‘New York City.’

The Brooklyn rapper takes us on a ride through different parts of New York with his boys Waka Flocka and Vado in tow. He brings the rap vibe all the way back to 1996 while going through Rucker Park, the Barclays Center and the projects as he expresses the need for a return to that real hip-hop.

Interestingly enough, he even takes a little jab at Waka Flocka, saying, “We need a new DMX not a new Waka Flocka,” before passing him the mic over a sample of the Fugees’ classic cut ‘Fu-Gee-La.’

Expect more to come from Uncle in the future as he tries to bring that real boom bap, creative hip-hop back to New York City and the mainstream.
