Tinashe has always created music on her own, but collabos are a chance for her to flex her skills. The singer does just that with producer and TV on the Radio guitarist Dave Sitek on 'Xylaphone.'

"The creative process changes depending on who I am working with," she told SPIN. "I definitely have to get acquainted with working with people because before when I was making my music, I was making it all on my own. It's been a learning process, learning how to incorporate other people's artistic opinions and what I am doing. Its very fun, especially when you're working with awesome creative people that you respect, it's cool to hear what they think and to get their input."

As part of the Dr Pepper Studio Sessions, the two jump right into writing and recording the song while in the midst of still getting to know each other. What comes out of the process is a sensual track laden with a staccato beat that offsets Tinashe's supple vocals. The songstress recounts the many nights she's been her guy and how good she feels with him.

"Feelin' up my spine like a xylophone / Every shivering touch is light / Each one makes a tone," she sings in the beginning of the first verse.

This is only one track off the Dr Pepper Studio Session EP that Sitek produced, but it's clearly the standout one. RAC, Rockie Fresh and Robert DeLong also lent their voices to the project, which can now be heard in its entirety on SoundCloud.
