T.I. is planning to drop new music, which, to anyone familiar with the his catalog, should come as no surprise.

However, the King of the South sat down with XXL recently to announce the awaited release of the third Hustle Gang project, new artists, solo music, and possible major collaborations.

Despite a busy year, and amidst the final season of his reality show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, the rapper set out on a U.S. tour with his Hustle Gang crew in April to promote G.D.O.D. 3 (Get Dough or Die 3); which follows the release of G.D.O.D. 2 in 2014.

"It's still dropping this spring," Tip said. "But I can't tell you no release date for the project." The mixtape will feature new faces of T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records, including Tokyo Jetz, Translee, Yung Booke, London Jae, and RaRa; as well as some familiar ones like Young Dro, B.o.B and Trae Tha Truth.

"We had to reassemble and restructure ourselves as a unit," he explained, also hinting at changes made on an executive level as well as with the artists. "Now we feel confident in the collection of artists we have right now. We're incredibly proud".

T.I. also confirmed that he plans to release the Dime Trap later this year.

"It's been ready for a while. The thing about music is that the things that go on in my life, like it's so much going on, that I make so many different types of records and I'm just dying to see what kind of record this is going to be, you know what I mean?"

On the difference between working solo vs collaboratively , T.I. admits it comes pretty naturally. "That's the the thing we do. We do this so effortlessly because we do it everyday...Everything is just so effortless and it flows so fluid because we do it all the time...we all just put our contributions together and make it happen.

T.I. also confirmed that he's totally down with the influx of collaborative rap projects, and shared quite a few of his own.  He and Jeezy started working on a collection titled Dope Boy Academy, and he anticipates getting together with the G.D.O.D. 3 partners Young Dro and B.o.B for Sophisticated Excellence and The Man and The Martian. He says he's open to all kinds of joint projects, revealing he planned to work with R&B lady killer Trey Songz on The Lady Killers.

It looks like it's going to be a busy rest of the year for T.I..
