Snoop Dogg is returning to his old stomping grounds to guest star and executive produced a show that’s near and dear to his heart - weed. The rap vet is producing a marijuana-inspired series for MTV called Mary + Jane.

The show will focus on two women who run an all-female weed delivery service in Los Angeles. And the stories that will come out of their escapades will be high-larious.

The series' executive producers, Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, say Snoop will not play himself on the half-hour sitcom, but will be "a very, very special person" to the show. "You don't know when he's going to appear. You have to watch all the way to the end to see him," said Kaplan (via Hollywood Reporter).

Snoop will also record a theme song for the series as well.

This isn't Snoop's first time collaborating with the music channel. The Cali rapper used to host a variety series for MTV called Doggy Fizzle Televizzle from 2002-2003.

MTV's Mary + Jane is set to premiere on Sept. 5 at 10PM ET.
