Sometimes you just have to go back to the basics. Snoop Dogg has experimented with a variety of styles over his illustrious career, the most radical of which was his recent foray into reggae as Snoop Lion, but it appears the O.G. is finally returning to his g-funk roots.

Fresh off his critically acclaimed EP ‘7 Days of Funk’ with producer Dam-Funk, the Doggfather has linked up with yet another Stones Throw stalwart in Madlib to craft some funky cuts. ‘Cadillacs’ sees Madlib providing Snoop with some vintage g-funk production that would sound right at home amongst beats by Daz Dillinger or Soopafly.

This smooth single is featured on Snoop Dogg’s new DJ Drama-hosted mixtape ‘That’s My Work 3' which is available now as a free download on DatPiff.
