Snoop Dogg is teaming up with Martha Stewart to launch a new cooking show for VH1. The "Gin and Juice" rapper and lifestyle guru will star in Martha and Snoop's Dinner Party, a weekly series where the two host a dinner party with celebrity guests. The show is scheduled to premiere this fall.

"At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity," Stewart said. "Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way."

The unlikely pair may seem like an odd couple on paper, but Snoop Dogg maintains the two have a longstanding bond. The Doggfather has appeared on the Martha Stewart Living show and both were guests on the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.

"My homegirl Martha and I have a special bond that goes back," Snoop said. "We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!"

The announcement of this new VH1 show with Martha Stewart comes on the heels of Snoop Dogg's involvement in a weed-themed MTV comedy called Mary + Jane. MTV and VH1 are both owned by Viacom.

"We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons,” VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy said. "Good parties are filled with fun, food and unexpected guests. Wait til you see what happens at Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party; it will be unforgettable."

Snoop Dogg's television presence has been widespread in 2016. In addition to his upcoming shows for the Viacom properties, the veteran rapper already starred in AOL's Coach Snoop and BET's Music Moguls.
