We always here about men going to jail losing jobs deals because of domestic violence. This is the case of a man who was arrested but not charged for domestic violence after smacking a woman on a subway train. Here is how the NYPD reported the incident:

According to the NYPD, Jorge Pena, 25, was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. Kevin Gil, 21, was also charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. Danay Howard, a 21-year-old female, was charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct, and Shanique Campbell, 20, was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.

Jorge Pena was transported to the hospital with minor cuts to his face; the other suspects declined medical attention at the scene.

Cary London, Pena's attorney, told the Post he believes the charges were dismissed because the video shows that Shanique Campbell was clearly the aggressor.

Thank God for smartphones because the DA’s office was able to have all of the information in front of them at an early stage to show that our client did nothing wrong and acted in self-defense.
