Discovery Channel is on day 3 of their annual “Shark Week.” This year’s edition features 11 hours of new shark-related programming. There’s a Shark Week feeding frenzy on Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets every year in anticipation of the week long event. Even some of your favorite Capital Region celebrities are taking the bait! Actually, in this case…. They ARE the bait!

Jimmer Fredette – NBA star and graduate of Glens Falls High School, Jimmer Fredette, is a 3 point specialist. Dude is a pro athlete. I doubt he’s “ballin’ on a budget.” Although he probably watches what he eats to stay in game-shape, his pay grade allows him to spare no expense when it comes to feeding his face. He’d probably make a tasty treat for any Great White with an appetite.

Subrina Dhammi – It’s not polite to acknowledge a reporter for her looks rather than her track record, but I’m a guy and I have eyes. Subrina Dhammi is one good lookin’ lady! If I had to choose between Nemo or Dhammi, I’m goin’ with news chick sandwich all day.

Jerry Jennings – Fish tend to be attracted to shiny objects. I assume sharks are no different? If so, the glare from Jerry’s tan would draw the hungriest of creatures.

Steve Caporizzo – Cap has been a Capital Region fixture for YEARS. He’s constantly keeping us informed and updated on local weather patterns as a meteorologist. He’s also one of the biggest animal advocates in the area. With the smell of fish (he’s an avid fisherman) and other wildlife on his blazer, it wouldn’t surprise me if a shark mistook him for lunch.
